New product highlight of stud welding technology

Multi-colored LED status display enlightens operators

The revolution in stud welding technology is drawing visual attention: the new BMS-9 stud welder, in combination with the innovative PS-9 welding pistol, enables the operator for the first time to identify all important operating states through an LED display on the pistol, using the traffic light principle. This is an enormous work simplification for the operator, particularly because it contributes to a significant increase in the quality of the welded joint. The LED display is lit green to indicate operational readiness of the system and red in the case of malfunction. The ring-shaped display is visible from every viewing angle.

Simple operation without breaking a sweat

The welding parameters are automatically adjusted when the welding stud diameter is selected via the function buttons on the BMS-9 stud welder.

Also a manual fine setting is available. The welding voltage that has been set is visible on the precise digital display. The inverter-switching power supply guarantees a maximum welding capacity and automatic detection of the line voltage from 115 to 230 volts and 50 to 60 Hz. Another highlight is the newly-developed stud holder. A stop spindle, which is difficult to adjust, is no longer necessary because the new stud holder automatically detects the length of the welding studs, thus allowing extremely efficient manufacturing and maximum cost savings. Stud bolts from M3 to M8, with steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and brass material, can be processed; the stronger version, BMS-9V, is adjusted for welding studs from M4 to M10. The high productivity of the stud welders allows sequential welding of up to 20 studs/minute.

Every day, we use products that are held together by screws.

These threaded fittings come in a wide variety of shapes and

sizes, but they all serve the same purpose: to create permanent

connections. This is why it is very important to prevent the loss

of gripping force and pretension. Loctite thread- locking products

are single-component adhesives that fill threading gaps completely

and then harden. Available in three levels of stability

(low, medium, high), they lock threaded fittings into place.

Dietikon, Switzerland, based group saw successes in China, Brazil and most European

markets. The results have provided the confidence for strong growth plans in 2012.

The bidirectional countersunk rivet FSR is an enhancement of the standard blind rivet technology. Especially for applications in tight spaces, the countersunk rivet permits flush setting on both sides. FSR: This micro format rivet is the ideal solution for the electronics industry! After setting, there is no loose mandrel head and no blind-side protrusion.

Color-coded mandrels

For easy identification of various rivet types, the mandrels are color-coded in copper, silver, or bronze color.

This was the slogan of the FASTENER FAIR 2011 held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from November 8 to 9, 2011. The fair that was already present in other regions of the world was showed in the emerging countries as Brazil and it was possible to see an increasing number of visitors from national and international industries.

The KVT Solutioneering Group was represented by Brazilian subsidiary, at this international trade fair, with the fastening and sealing portfolio of products.

Among the focus of the fair were riveting technologies with the product line KD TECH ® blind rivets, which refers to a relatively new product to KVT Group. KD means "Kontrollierte Deformation" (controlled deformation) and offers to users a different solution for riveting in specific applications where you need to make sure of the correct fixation in the designed place.

Were also exposed PEM ® products, to evaluate the customer interesting in this technology and applications in metal sheet in Brazil.

The presentation of products Tappex ® emphasized not only the diversity of fastening solutions for the plastics industry, as well as the design of the product portfolio and the applications based in the Customer needs.

The KVT emphasized its technology and the brand in Brazil, through the presentation of the portfolio of products. Once again, wide proof that whatever the fastening problem is, KVT has the ideal solution.

FAKUMA 2011

„Viel Lust auf Kunststoff und alles, was mit Investitionen zu dessen industrieller Verarbeitung zu tun hat - auf diesen einfachen aber treffenden Nenner lässt sich das Resümee bringen, das am Ende der Veranstaltung von allen Beteiligten gezogen wurde.“ So zitiert der Veranstalter in seiner finalen Presseinformation zur FAKUMA – der internationalen Fachmesse für Kunststoffverarbeitung, welche vom 18. – 22. Oktober 2011 in Friedrichshafen stattfand. Fast 45.000 Fachbesucher aus 119 Nationen informierten sich auf 85.000 m² bei 1.670 Ausstellern aus 34 Ländern.

Und wir waren dabei! Der Standort Deutschland, unterstützt von Kollegen des Standortes Österreich, präsentierte sein Produktportfolie für den gesamten Kunststoffbereich. Naturgemäß im Mittelpunkt standen TAPPEX® Gewindeeinsätze für Kunststoffe. Auf drei Präsentationskuben wurde „gearbeitet“. Zum einen demonstrierten wir die Verarbeitung der Gewindeeinsätze TRISERT® mittels eines selbstumsteuernden Druckluftschraubers inklusive eines äußerst flexiblen Werkzeugständers. Mit unserem Warmeinpressgerät wurden die Gewindeeinsätze MULTISERT® in Plexiglasteile anschaulich eingebettet. Als Dritter im Bunde präsentierte sich zum ersten Mal unser eigener Brand Fasteks mit der KD-TECH® Blindnietmutter. Zur Verarbeitung stand das hydropneumatische Setzgerät KVT 912 bereit, um den enorm großen konstruktiven Spielraum dieser multifunktionellen Blindnietmutter vorzuführen. Auf Kubus Nr. 4 veranschaulichten wir mit den Produktreihen BIGHEAD®, PEM® POP® und natürlich nochmals TAPPEX® und KD-TECH® gebündelt die Optionen der KVT Solutioneering Group speziell für den Kunststoffbereich und somit auch für den Leichtbau.

Optimiert wurde der Auftritt der KVT Solutioneering Group von allen weiteren in diesem Segment zum Einsatz kommenden Produktreihen, wobei die Verschlusselemente von Southo besonders ins Auge stachen.
